ECFS in the Community
Who we have supported over the years
E C Financial Services Limited (ECFS) have supported many local good causes over the last six years, providing support to a variety of community organisations.
For the last two years we have provided a one off grant of £1,000 to a charity close to the heart of one of our team members at ECFS asking our clients to vote as to which charity we should support, all very worthy contenders.
We were very pleased with all the responses received, together with some lovely comments from our clients, and would like to thank everyone who voted.
CHESS Homeless Charity came out on top in August 2021 with 26.76% of the overall vote. Clare van Belkum and Eve Allum (advisers at ECFS) were able to present a cheque to CHESS Homeless Charity on 25 August 2021, together with a generous donation from one our clients. We also donated £100 in December 2021 continuing our support.
We hope to do more for our chosen charity and focus fund-raising activities as a team and business.
For the last five years we have supported many local good causes, providing much needed support to a variety of community organisations through a grassroots grant of £333, three times a year. In 2020 we asked our clients to vote as to which charity we should support with a one-off grant of £1,000.00. Each member of the team here at ECFS selected a charity to be considered and there were some really worthy contenders among them.
We would like to say thank you to all our clients who were keen to vote, we were so pleased with the response received and the lovely comments as well about what we were trying to do.
We are pleased to announce that the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Charity came out on top with 43% of the overall vote, and we received the below communication from them.
We hope to do more throughout the rest of this year and focus all our fund-raising activities as a team and business for the selected charity.

Our Charity of the Year for 2023 is Children with Cancer UK
All our staff members nominated a charity that was close to their heart and we are delighted that our newest member of the team Kevin Wheatland, came out on top this year.
Kevin ran the London Marathon in April 2023 to raise vital funds for his chosen charity, and has been a great supporter of a close friend whose son is currently being treated. Kevin ran fantastically well in a time of 3:43:43 achieving his goaall the way to the finish line!
We will continue to support this charity throughout the year.
childrenwithcancer.org.ukEC Financial Services are delighted to present their latest grant to Writtle Infant School supporting their aim to create a Health & Happiness Hub.
This will be a purpose-built centre and sensory garden enhancing the school's extensive program of wellbeing support for all children. The hub will also be open to the whole community. It will be located in the heart of their Forest Schools area, a woodland space in which their children learn to engage with the natural environment, which already has a positive impact on their mental health.
The project has been endorsed by Writtle Parish Council and County Councillor John Aldridge.
On 31 October 2017, Michael MacLeod and Eve Allum from ECFS went to discuss the great work that they do. In 2018, they hope to run 30 holidays which takes a great deal of organisation and effort. It is great to see Dementia Adventure being recognised nationally, although they do focus on Essex.
Michael now hopes to continue his support by fund-raising for them in future.
